Prayer for the week commencing 23rd August.

O God, before whose throne the whole family of heaven and earth bows down in ceaseless adoration: accept the praise we offer this day. May we know the joy of your salvation that the sorrowing may be comforted, the faint-hearted be made strong, and the wayward restored to life and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
